In spring 2019, I completed a semester-long research project as part of the lab component of my Molecular Biology course. We worked in teams to conduct the lab work, analyze the results, then create and present a poster of our research at the Agnes Scott College’s Spring Annual Research Conference (SpARC). The poster is shown here:
Each member of the lab team authored a manuscript of the project individually. Below is the manuscript I authored. This was my first experience independently writing a complete research manuscript, and it was an intensive way to exercise my scientific communication skills. To achieve the final product below, I incorporated feedback from my professor, Dr. Jennifer Larimore, tutors from Agnes Scott College’s Center for Writing and Speaking (CWS), and my classmates.
